A Proper axe
Born in the basement and forged in fuzz, A Proper Axe is a stoner groove punk band from Mt. Morris, MI—serving up riff-heavy chaos with a twist of dirty soul. Loud, weird, and unapologetically Michigan. We don’t fit a genre—we split it down the middle.
Metal Mustang
Metal Mustang is an original groove metal, melodic metalcore band hailing
from the Detroit Michigan area. Formed in the year 2020 by co writers Julia
Mogylevski-Castillo and Christopher Nigel. The band’s music has dark and
broody overtones with a melodic and hypnotic rhythm to its original songs.
Guitar work is extensive as well as explosive in its delivery with shredding
techniques and melodic key and tempo changes abundant. Vocals are
dark and powerful with wide range supported by harsh vocals in many of
the band’s songs. Bass is heavy, chronic, and deep with double kick drums
laced throughout the entire LP. The first release by the band is titled “And
They’re Off” and is a high energy, dark adrenaline filled 8 song LP that is
getting a lot of attention on its first run out of the gate. The tracks are
currently being played by WHFR (Henry Ford College Radio Station), Rock
Rage, and Outlaw Radio. The band are hitting stages in and around the
Michigan area such as Diesel Concert Lounge, The Blind Pig, The Token
Lounge, New Dodge Concert Lounge, The Music Factory, as well as
outdoor festivals like The 25 th Annual Centurian Biker Festival in Ohio
recently. Metal Mustang has been supporting national signed acts such as,
Mingo Indus, The Dead Deads, Sun Valley, Starkill, and Sweet Crystal.
The next stages for the band to grace will be: Wednesday August 27 th 2025
at The Token Lounge in support of Starkill.
